If you want to level a barbarian as quickly as possible, you should begin as a Double Swing Barbarian and focus on gaining battlefield mobility, low-cost skills from the Combat Skills tree, and buffs from the Combat Masteries tree. This will allow you to level a barbarian the quickest. However, once you reach Level 30, your progression will begin to slow down, and it will be best for you to respec into a Warcry (or "Singing") Barbarian. This class has some similarities to Casters, but it also has the Barbarian's durability, mobility, and damage. This build will get you to approximately level 75 without any problems, at which point you will be able to respec into the endgame build of your choosing. Advice on Leveling in GeneralYou should be prepared for some unexpected and expensive skill investments if you choose to play as a barbarian because their method of leveling is very unconventional. You will need to zero in on one particular weapon mastery and bring it up to its maximum potential. It is recommended that you choose Mace Mastery because it offers more options when playing on normal difficulty; however, you are free to pick whichever Mastery best suits your play style.
Around level 30, the barbarian's movement speed begins to slow down
1. At this point, you should respec your character from a Double Swing Barbarian into a Shouting/Singing Barbarian in order to become a caster
2. You should aim to have at least one point invested in each of the Shout skills located on the left side of the Warcries tree
3. The War Cry and Battle Cry abilities should be your top priority, followed by the Taunt ability, and then the Battle Orders ability, but you have some leeway in this regard
4. When you get close to entering hell, you should think about putting some points into Natural Resistance
5. This will significantly improve your ability to survive and open up more options for your gear
6. Due to the fact that Flails require 41 Strength to wield, you will want to make sure that you can reach that requirement by the time you are around level 12 or 13
7. Distribution of the AttributesDespite the fact that Vitality is still the most crucial,If you want your Barbarian to have access to the best gear, you'll need to put a lot of levels into Strength (and, to a lesser extent, Dexterity)
Strength is the attribute you want to boost the most. You will become more of a Caster after completing your Respec, and as a result, you will require some improvements to Mana with Energy before you can transition to Shouting Barbarian. The second level is Dexterity. Level 3-7: VitalityDexterity is the focus of levels 8-9. Level 10-11: Strength1 point in strength and 4 points in vitality are awarded at Level 12. Level 13-30: VitalityYour Respec should be set to Energy at level 30:30.20 points to Strength, and 15 points to DexterityRest of the build will be put into Vitality for the time being.
